Friday Night, Saturday Morning

Wow. Worked out yesterday morning at the gym. Circuit training. Had a breakdance (I know, I know) lesson midday and then stepped on the ice for a spell while the stunt men trained barrel jumping. I was so tired by late afternoon I could hardly believe it.

Out like a light by 7 and change. All night wanting to get up to turn out lights and lock doors and phone people to say good night or that I couldn't come out - but it was all impossible.

4 am I woke.

My legs and back are tired. My heart rate - 59 upon waking - is a little high. Going to work now and then, possibly, go cross country skiing with the boy on my back this afternoon.

A friend of ours, Alan Tennant, (you can google him, he's a writer)is a former bike racer and aficianado of the sport, says your upcoming endeavor is the most difficult in all of sports. To paraphrase Aretha Franklin, Train Train Train. Is the break dancing for the show or the ride?
